Detecting hidden cameras in hotels?

What are some gadgets I can buy and take with me on trips to detect hidden cameras in hotels? Am I paranoid? Is it worth it?

Step 1: Walk around naked in your room.

Step 2: Listen carefully for screams coming from elsewhere in the hotel.

Surely this should be on the tech forum.

But anyway, I find that spray painting the room is very good at covering camera lenses

A few hundred amps of lighting should oversaturate the image enough so they can't see anything.

And when you blow the fuse for your floor, you'll certainly also cause any cameras to lose power. :)

Are you conducting multi-million dollar arms deals in clandestine hotels in seedy areas of the world? Or something similar? If not, then yes, IMHO.
