one day access to lounges
Since I haven't received any replies on the second question on my other post. This might be the wrong place, but not sure where else to post it.
I will be flying economy in December and I was interested in getting lounge access in IST. Is there any way I can access lougnes in IST, paying for the day, is there any sites that book these, any kind of membership. What would be the right way to do this and what are my options. In case credit cards are an option, I have a Blue from American Express and a basic Citi Card. Thanks for all the help. |
Here is a list of the lounges and who/what qualifies for entry. http://www.ataturkairport.com/eng/1.php
Going by just your CC card levels & economy ticket, I don't think you would qualify for entrance on that basis. You could purchase a Priority Club Pass and gain entry to the "Primeclass Lounge". http://www.prioritypass.com/CPC/Save...FSD3iAodJjA8vA Passes can be purchased on annual or day use. Hope this helps. |
I found this which may help you if you have one of the listed cards. Click on 'Services' then 'Istanbul'. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on 'Detail' under 'CIP Lounge Operation'.

Moving this to a more appropriate forum.

The primeclass lounge noted above is what TK uses for F passengers, I believe. At least the description sounds like what we got. It was nice enough though I think that the level of service received depends on how you gain access. I doubt day-pass folks get a cooked to order breakfast. Still, the bar and snacks spread was decent enough though the lounge is a bit small. No real help in there for booking issues - I ended up going to the regular TK lounge when I needed that stuff sorted out - but the lounge is pretty nice overall. I really do need to get my photos online...
ETA: Pix from the IST primeclass lounge here. |
Thanks all. I didn't think my CC would get me into any lounge by itself.
I have seen priority pass, but I've been debating if its worth the 99$ a year membership fee. Plus 27$ when visiting a lounge. But I think for a 5 to 7 hour connection time, this can come handy. |
based on the pics. I like the looks of the primeclass lounge, then again I've never been in a lounge before. THis will be my first time.
I've read in other threads that the HSBC lounge is better. can you guys confirm? |
bump.
hoping someone knows. |

hoping someone knows. Look into the cost of a day pass. The day pass can be used for an entire 24 hours so might be useful in more than one airport if you have a connection. |
