How many times you wait for the flight crew?

Hi All,

How many times that you wait for your flight crew? I remember last time that I got delayed for 20 minutes due to flight crew. I knows FA & pilots is trying to catch the flight during those days. Sometimes if the flight crew is running late if they didn't catch the crew vans coming from crew hotels. I know there is no flight crew onboard the entire aircraft and it should have to taking own responsibilities to keep in touch with airlines come to airport on-time and not wait for another 20 minutes delayed. You don't have any see the flight crew or pilots did not show up at airport on-time. It should be exact right time to come to work on-time and it should have wake-up call at the hotel room. You are taking own responsibilities to set the alarm clock. If you don't come to airport on-time. You are running late the flight out there. You have to take own responsible the passengers is awaited for next flight out of commercial airports.

the copilot that died in buffalo a year or so ago had a hell of a commute. she caught a fedex in Seattle, or someplace like that, went to memphis, and then to Chicago to get on the plane to drive. not exactly a missed alarmclock if she had not made the plane.

once, out of philladelphia to bld, we were in line on the runway when we went back to the gate to pick up an fa and pilot. we lost place in line and sat for long time.

these people do not necessarily hotel next door.

i sat next to a pilot who lived somewhere in or around den, who was going to someplace like mia to start his day. i do not know how the union works, but these people somehow bid in their jobs. they can then fly to the start point. i don't know why i don't see more transit pilots. they usually wear uniform because they get seat if in uniform

Yes waiting for a flight crew can be frustrating as any delay. But I assure you they are not off gallivanting around. They are working another flight and will try their best to get your flight out as quickly and safely as possible.

If your morning flight is delayed for crew they probably needed their required eight hours on the ground. (Which translates into about five hours of sleep.)

And no. You don't get a seat just because you are in uniform.
