Problems with Sabre.ru
 

Hi folks.
I'm trying to book a business class ticket from Tokyo to Moscow online using the Aeroflot website.
When I click on the payment part, the server for Sabre.ru does not respond. I've been trying for days and the tickets are selling fast. There doesn't appear to be an office here in Tokyo city.

Has anyone else come across this problem recently? I'm using Safari on my laptop and the message "cannot create a secure connection" is ringing some alarm bells, but I really don't think it's a security issue. The whole sabre.ru website is inaccessible.

I can't even open that website. Has it been like this for long? If not, wait until tomorrow and try it again.

I tried for hours last night and again this morning. I gave up and booked my ticket with JetCombo.com.

After I paid my money, I got the message that it may take up to 24 hours for a reply. My stress levels have gone through the roof. I needed an answer yesterday :rolleyes:

I guess you get what you pay for :p

No luck with JetCombo. Eventually I had to call Aeroflot Airlines in Moscow to find out what was going on. They confirmed that there was a problem with the website. Fortunately they were able to give me a local number (for Tokyo) (03) 55328781. Japanese and Russian spoken only, however (thankfully one of us spoke Russian).

Ticket successfully booked :D

A Google search for the phone number of the Tokyo Office proved fruitless (all numbers out of date), but with the number known, I was able to come up with this link (for future reference for adventurous travellers)
