Boarding second flight without taking first flight?
I have a bit of an odd request.
I'm working plans for a Las Vegas trip this summer. I'd like to fly out of Newark NJ (EWR). Continental flies direct from EWR to LAS, for $537.40 round trip for my dates and times. However, Continental will fly from Albany NY to EWR to LAS, then return from LAS to EWR then back to Albany on the SAME flights from EWR to Vegas, but the cost is $420! My question is, can I book the ALB-EWR-LAS flight, and show up at EWR and get on the flight to Las Vegas? Obviously the return flight won't be a problem, but will they let me check in and through security on the way there? We won't be checking baggage so that won't be an issue. Thanks in advance |
Your entire booking will be cancelled if you don't take the first leg unless you get incredibly lucky. You are trying to do hidden city ticketing, which is against the T&C of most airlines.

No.
This used to be very common, known as the "hidden city trick", but airlines wisened up and will cancel your whole ticket if you do not show up in ALB. |
