Wake up calls

Here's a little tip from me on wake up calls.

Wake-up calls: worst way to wake up. The phone
rings; it's loud; you can't turn it down, you can't
'snooze' it.

I leave the number of the room next to me, and then
it rings kind of quiet, and you hear a guy yell, "What
are you calling me for?"

Then you get up and take a shower. It's great. :D

Actually my hearing is so bad, I don't always hear the phone in my own room. Instead I set the clock radio to the rock station and put the volume on maximum. I then set the alarm on my Blackberry for two minutes earlier. If I wake up, I turn off the radio before it before it goes off. If the Blackberry doesn't wake me, you, if in a nearby room, and I will awake at the same time.

I provide the number of the room next to mine when I have a very early wake-up call and the noise from the party in the neighboring room has kept me awake very late. Let them get their 3 hours of sleep!!

I use:
1. My watch -- very quiet
2. My Cell Phone -- a minute later. Louder
3. Room Clock -- If I can figure it out, set for a minute or 2 later.
4. Wake Up call -- Usually a half hour after watch alarm, the former being the time I REALLY need to be awake by (i.e. no cushion). Unless of course I've used the wake-up call on the annoying guest next door.
