overhead bin dimensions?

I have been unable to find the precise dimensions for overhead bins for Boeing aircraft (at this moment I need them for the 717-200 and the 767-300 in particular).

I have found the maximum allowed dimensions for carry-ons (and my carry-ons are at or under those limits), but I know that at least on one aircraft the overhead bin was too small to accommodate my carry-on).

So, would anyone have a list of overhead bin dimensions for various aircraft - in particular the 717-200 and the 767-300?

Each airline specifies its own interior arrangements. There is no standard for a given aircraft type. (For example, some airlines enlarged their overhead bins in recent years, to accommodate roll-aboard suitcases wheels first, but others didn't.) Some components are used by many airlines, they don't all design their own from the ground up, but there are no guarantees that a given airline uses them.

On the 717, which is often configured 2-3, you may also find larger bins on the 3-seat side of the aisle than on the 2-seat side.

So, you'll have to be specific as to which airlines you're interested in. That doesn't guarantee that someone will post the answer, but will at least make it possible to have one.

Hawaiian Airlines 717-200 and 767-300

Thanks for the answer. I didn't realize that the dimensions might differ according to the particular airline. I had thought there was a standard size.

In my immediate case I am wondering about: Hawaiian Airlines 717-200 and 767-300 overhead bin dimensions.

I was recently on an HA 717 on an interisland flight. My 22" rollaboard fit just fine wheels in first on the 3 seat (right) side of the cabin. The sizer in the terminal may be for a much smaller bag but I was not given any trouble or asked to check the bag.
