Shareholder perks?

I read something recently somewhere about airlines giving special perks to shareholders who take their flights, but there were no details. Does anyone have experience with this, or know a source that gives more information about it? Thanks.

I know firsthand, LCC has no special perks.

BA has a shareholder discount (subject to T&Cs of course) if you have a minimum shareholding.

Nothing for UA.

I know that LACSA shareholders down here in Central America get 1 round trip ticket/year

From my experience, nothing from CAL (CO), DAL (DL), UAUA (UA) or HOT Starwood-- all stocks I've held (or still hold) while being Elite on them.

Thanks for the replies. It sounds like it happens, but it's rare.

there were perks for starwood(hot) when i inquired. problem was, they required an immense holding(millions of dollars worth)

seriously, why would they care if you own a single stock?

starwood gives hotel owners owner rates and "VIP" status.
