Citibank account aggregator replace MileTracker?
Has anyone used Citibank's account aggregator (for account holders, I assume) to replace MileTracker in our time of need? I use Citibank, and have gone too long without a one-step mileage checker.

Try this:
https://www.yodlee.com/newarch/index.do It's the same people (Yodlee) that power the aggregation for Citibank, AOL, Yahoo, etc, but this is their independant site. So, should you stop being a Citibank, AOL, Yahoo, etc. customer, you won't be left out in the cold. They are great at aggregating financial as well as frequent flyer accounts. From the link, just click on "register now." |
Does anyone have any idea as to the security risk in using Yodlee vs the Citibank aggregator? Could Citibank be held liable for any leaked data from their site?
|
I've used Yodlee for over 4 years with no problems, but I suppose there is always a possibility. I think they claim that there is no way that any of their employees can get access to passwords, etc. and I think they have some sort of insurance to back you up if there were to be a problem...read their terms and conditions for these type of details.
If you're extremely concerned, I suppose you could just store info on Frequent Flyer accounts and not use them for your financial accounts. That would limit your exposure. When you use it through citibank, I think your data just goes straight into Yodlee's computers, so citibank doesn't really ever see it. Since their name is on the product though, I suppose it's one more party you could sue if there ever were a problem. |

I, too, am a Yodlee user and fan. Highly recommended.

I use Citibank aggregator. One thing I noticed is that it doesn't automatically update some FF accounts, e.g. BA and UAL, while others like Delta or Starwood are automatically updated daily. Is it just me, or others noticed that too?

I don't use the Yodlee site directly but I do have my Starwood account set up in the Fidelity Investments account aggregator (Full View) which is also powered by Yodlee. I've never had a problem with it updating.
They always suggest if you're having problems that you try deleting the account and adding it again. Sometimes this actually works. |
Just for grins I thought I'd set up a Yodlee OnCenter account and try to add my Starpoints account. I did--and everything works fine.
This site is definitely worth exploring. It appears to have some nice features. |
This yodlee is great. Thanks for the info. Works better for me than Deskport.

just got it ....works fine......any "funny" things I should look out for?

Hi all...1st post here...
I am a lurker who is now only 99 posts away from being able to use coupon connection right :) I used to do some work with yodlee. Pretty good company. Their model really becomes valuable to the aggregator (Citi or aol) if they start to mine the data. ie customer has 40K AA miles...Lets offer him the citi aa card. another example..customers home loan is at 7% on 30 yr fixed..offer them current rate and a no points etc. anyway as to the question of what to what to watch out for...the program was down for two weeks a while ago and it made it difficult for me to do anything financially. Other than that they are great |
