I have also just noticed this whilst I was trying to update some trips. Can't find the reason behind it, but I suspect that they have been playing second fiddle to TripIt for quite some time?

It's a shame as I have a gold lifetime subscription from a very long time ago.

I am absolutely gutted. I have been using this app for at least six years and probably more like 10 years. The inevitable question is, what is the best replacement? Tripit seems the obvious suggestion that it is so expensive!

Even better. No trip export is possible...unbelievable.

"Will I have access to my current and past trips?

15 days ago Updated

Your current and past trips will still be available in the app until the end of September 2017. WorldMate does not have the tools to export trips from the app. After this period, your trips will longer be displayed as the WorldMate app will discontinue."

I used to use WorldMate yrs ago, and also TripIt before it got expensive. The last few yrs I have moved to TripCase, which is free, and has worked pretty well for me.

Very sad news for me. I loved this app...

What are viable alternatives in your view?

This is sad news. Got the news this morning when the app was updated. Been using world mate for years. Now I will use trip case. At least trip case is on the apple watch.

I've been using them forever and it was invaluable to me last month when I had to report all travel I've had over the last seven years.

I'm definitely interested in hearing what other people use.

Moving to Travel Tools, where there's an existing thread.

The lack of export (or advanced notice the website access was going to be terminated) is brutal. I just went thru a process last month that required me to show all foreign travel over the last 7 years. I wouldn't have been able to do it without that history.

I'm going to try out TripIt and TripCase, I guess.

OK, this isn't ideal but it is possible to get the data out. Best way is to share the old trips with yourself from Worldmate to your email address. Once you receive them, forward to Tripcase. So far this is pretty accurate and does allow you to make edits when required. Not ideal but better than nothing. Will give you something to do in some downtime. So far the main issue seems to be that the city on occasion is mapped incorrectly and Tripcase doesn't know how to handle the former BMI flight codes.

I've been using WorldMate since my Palm Treo days and got lifetime Gold on my iPhone because of that. Sad... <deleted>
