Trip it may be wonderful but unless I'm missing something it doesn't do what I specifically asked for. Something to help me plan and organize a trip before I've made reservations.

You can enter info manually as well as forward ;)

Tripit - both the free and paid versions will do this. Ours is auto-linked to Concur (for business travel) and we also have the calendar feed overlaid on our calendars so we can see who is going where at any time. We also use it for non travel - such as restaurant bookings, concerts and any other family activities we need to account for in our combined schedules. The calendar feed is key.

Which app do you use to manage trip planning?

-I'm looking for an App that can provide the following?

- Manage my itinerary
- Manage hotels and bookings
- Able to enter my trip planning (e.g. places to visit, restaurants, food, etc.)
- Geolocation tracking

TripIt?

+1 on tripit pro. It is a great way to keep up with your travel plans.

I use Kayak Trips.

Google Trips works pretty well and has been improved. If you use gmail for your reservations it all gets imported seamlessly.

I've tried a bunch over the years and settled on Kayak (like gfunkdave above).

But it's still not that great, frankly.

TripIt is the best app to manage your itinerary. This app let you view travel confirmations, flight itineraries, tickets, hotel and rental car reservations, ferry tickets and driving directions in one easy place.

Google Trips is a bit raw IMHO, it still has a long way to go before it catches up with the likes of Tripit

Itinerary planning app -> no more spreadsheets!

Hey travelers, I've been searching for a better way to document my trip itineraries. I really enjoy planning them out and have mainly been going with a spreadsheet + google maps, but it's pretty tedious. So far I've found this site blueplanit.co that has been a solid upgrade, more of a drag/drop type thing like Trello. Any other recommendations for planning apps to try out? Also curious how others go about trip planning (what tools you use to document the plan and resources to choose what to do).

I use TripIt Pro, but I really miss booking tracking, i.e. was MyFlights App used to offer before they were kicked out by Amadeus.
I'm not to keen on using CheckMyTrip (Amadeus) or Tripcase (Sabre) because then I'd have to maintain the trips there in addition to TripIt... Any suggestions?

Loved MyFlights :( As I used ExpertFlyer already for early planning, I now add alerts there for aircraft and timing changes.

Sure, but it’s annoying because ExpertFlyer isn’t synced with MyFlights.
EF also can’t monitor your booking for changes like seat assignments.
