Elite Status Reciprocity Database [app development]
Hi all,
Most of us with some kind of elite status are eligible for reciprocal status with another program. United, for instance, has agreements with Marriott and Hertz to give MileagePlus members status in those programs and vice versa. But Marriott also has a status agreement with Hertz, so there are two ways to get to the same place. And so we proceed down the rabbit hole. What I propose to do is create a database of elite status reciprocity relationships. We could then use this to create a little web app that would allow you to enter your earned status(es) and find out all of the programs which grant reciprocal status. To that end, I've created a Google Sheets spreadsheet with a starter set of relationships, available here. I've opened up editing to anyone, so if this sounds like a good idea to you feel free to go on over and add some new entries. A few guidelines:

If you plan to earn money from this, even through advertising and credit card referrals, you asking others to do a lot of the research work for you. Also, I hope you plan to verify all of the information yourself.
