Are they accurate? Or should i take them with a pinch of salt, ive only really just started to seriously start hoarding miles, I'm a convicted hotel status whore haha thought I might as well start doing the same for a few perks while I'm flying too.

If you search gcmap on flyertalk, you'll see the conversations where it used. Look at the experience of the users who are discussing it, and you'll see in what circumstances the tool is used.

GC is probably even simpler to use. You can easily do multicity and even do multiple routes. Check out this great primer: http://hackmytrip.com/2013/03/introduction-using-gcmap/

I've been using gcmap for a couple years. Its numbers have always been within 5 miles of airline figures. I haven't seen any reports otherwise.

Hi telabadmanwot,

If you're looking for a calculator that can tell you how many frequent flyer miles you need for your trip, try our tool: www.milez.biz

It covers over 75 different programs; all you have to do is enter the destinations and then select the program(s) you're interested in.

For example, NY to Mumbai w/ American Airlines AAdvantage:

I'm trying to map out a RTW on ANA and keep it under 25k miles. gcmap is showing my route at 24,989. When I plug in some of the routes to webflyer, I get numbers 30-60 miles off (both more and less, depending on route). Clearly, with that kind of discrepancy, I want to be sure I'm using the better tool. I'd hate to have all of my segments lined up with availability only to call in and she says 25, 076, costing me another 25k points.

I posted this a few days ago, and it does use the Vincenty formula for distance calculations https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vincenty%27s_formulae

miles calculator tool

tried a search both on the forum and web but can't find anything.

closest i got was web flyer, but doesn't allow me to key in separate booking classes for each segment.

looking for a miles calculator tool that will show me my total miles earned on an itinerary, that has varying booking classes for each segment, when credited to a particular airline's program + elite bonus if any.

technically i can search up the accrual chart and do the calculations myself and add them all up, but when dealing with 6 segments itineraries, perhaps there is a tool to simplify it?

for instance, i have a 6 segment itinerary coming up, with 2 flights in PE, 3 in Eco, and 1 in Business.

thanks for helping to move the thread.

however, the sites listed above do not do what i want (ideally)

not looking for award tickets mileage calculator looking for miles acceual calculator, similar to what webflyer does, but with the ability to add in individual fare class for each segment and to choose which FFP to credit to including elite status and finally showing the total award/status miles earned on an itinerary.

for example, i have a 6 segment flight up, MU in N, SU in A, M,M,A, MU in J. want to credit to Flying Blue and holding Platinum status. techinically i can look up the FB website to check each fare class's accrual % and add in my Plat bonus and add them up individually. but would be so much easier if i can just key it into a calculator tool and show the total miles i will be earning.
