My idea for a new travel tool online!
I spent a disproportionate amount of time this week trying to work out which Star programme was the best deal for Dubai to Istanbul, one way, in J.
This led me to think - here is a gap for someone who wants to build a new tool for their site.
You enter destination and departure point, plus class of travel and whether one way or not.
The site then trawls the reward chart for each airline and brings up the results, broken down by alliance.
As an extra step, it could show you which were Chase / Amex / SPG partners (and show you how many points needed). Additional columns would show canx fees and change fees, since these are also a key part of the equation.
Anyone up for it?!

Doesn't filter for one ways (either in repricing where a OW is not 50 per cent, or in eliminating airlines who don't offer them) but not bad.
