You can sometimes see flights, fares and detailed fare rules that may not be reflected on an airline's website. Please read the thread for some tips and tricks, screen shots, etc.
A related thread, ITA-Matrix-PowerTools - Userscript for Orbitz/DL/UA/AA/BA/CZ/IB/LA/LH/LX/TK, discusses a user script which is maintained by fellow flyertalk members to enhance the already powerful Matrix of ITA Software by providing new features and booking links.
Additional details and tips on the use of ITA's advanced routing code feature can be found in the following long-standing Mileage Run Discussion threads:

You could put an airport code in the Advanced Routing Codes box and minconnect 72:00 in the Extension Codes box, to force a 3-day stop in another city.

Dear Experts,
Am coming across a small conundrum about looking for combined economy and business class flights. In the past I ahve had no porblenm to make a general selection, for example 'business class or higher' for a specific leg and then use the f bc=.. coding to force the system to propose combined econ/bus itineries.
Today when I try this process i keep getting 'no flights found' message. Has something changed?

Yeah, not going to click on a random Excel attachment on the Internet. If you have a screenshot, upload the image directly, no need to embed it in a Word or Excel doc.
Or just post the relevant airports and fare/extension codes, in case there's something date or location specific etc.

So you want business on the outbound and premium economy on the return? Just choose "Cheapest available" and specify ALL of your fare buckets. Worked fine for me.

Hi wizards and hackers,
I tried to search AND of two conditions like,
ALLIANCE star-alliance
F bc=y|bc=b|bc=e|bc=g|bc=m|bc=n
How can I put these two codes into one extension codes box?
Thanx in advance!

I want to book this flight via expedia or ANA but just can't price.
How can I duplicate the search result found by GF in ITA matrix?
