For example, thrifty has a location at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando (10100 International Dr. Orlando, FL 32821) and Hertz is at the Renaissance at SeaWorld (6677 Sea Harbor Drive Orlando, FL 32821). Nothing comes up on Autoslash for anything near these 2 addresses and defaults to MCO pickup and drop off.

Why doesn't Autoslash have Orlando car desks for touristy Orlando in its database? Orlando's I-Ride trolley website has a comprehensive listing, so it's not like the info is difficult to find.

Sorry you had difficulty. Note that Travelocity our booking partner was having some issues with searching for non-airport locations earlier, but they seem to be resolved now. Here's an example search that returns Dollar, Thrifty and Hertz. You can click on the Change your search link at the top to customize it to your own pickup and drop-off dates/times.

Feel free to contact us here if you are still having difficulty. Please be sure to include your pickup and drop-off dates/times in your inquiry. Thanks!

Have the backlogs been cleared? Been surprised that I have seen no activity on a reservation we made for June in PHX area about a month ago.

Just wondering... rate was pretty high... and I have not started looking elsewhere yet.

Looks like the rate was reduced twice in late Feb. There's a very good chance it will drop further between now and June, so just sit tight and let the service do its thing. Rates often drop very close to the rental date, so it makes sense to be patient.

UH OH... I better go check my settings... have not seen any emails on reductions.... that was surprising me.

I had gotten messages a few times on our NC and AZ trips.

Thanks for the info!

I mistyped... NC and AZ trips.

I tell you... the NC one was great! Got two days for $19.70 TOTAL.

Can't get it to work at all. No cars at LGA? Ever?

As per this message posted on our homepage, we're in the process of moving to a new model that we think will be even more useful to people that what we had previously. Until we get there, you can click on the tab on our homepage labeled 'Track a rental you've booked elsewhere' to let us know about any existing bookings you have (or any you make in the future), and we'll let you know if we find a better deal.

We appreciate everyone's support and patience. It's unfortunate that the car rental companies have taken such a heavy-handed approach to restrict the ability of consumers to take advantage of our services to get a good deal. While the rental companies are no longer committed to working with AutoSlash, AutoSlash is committed to doing right by it's customers. Stay tuned for further developments...

Thanks, the letter wasn't displaying for me. I figured something had to be wrong.

I love autoslash. Let me quote a real-life example. Looking for a LAS-SFO 1-way rental for a week.

Originally quoted: $342 about 1 month back. 2 weeks later, i got an email, price has dropped to $331. A few days later, price has dropped to $263. WOW, that's almost $80 savings from the original price and I didnt have to do a single thing.

Keep up the good work and looking forward to see the new platform.

Worked well at LAX for me.. Need some work on HI;)

I'm always looking for lower prices, it may or may not be just me.:)

I grew lazy as your site did my difficult bookings seemlessly. I'm sad that the rental companies are rebelling against you. I wish you much luck with the new product and am available if you need a beta tester.

I think the new format will actually work well. Pulling reservations from competition and offering a quote tracker. Any new technology and discount formats will need to go through bumps and bruises, to find the right balance rental companies are willing to work with. Hopefully, Auto Slash finds a win win medium so that both rental companies and comsumers can benefit.

Yup.

You really have nothing to lose by giving AutoSlash the opportunity to deliver you the best price.

Think about it: what's the worst that can happen? You make your own reservation, thinking you can do better that AutoSlash, and then hedge your bets by also making one through AutoSlash. Later, you forget about the reservation that AutoSlash made (and, likely, subsequently discounted) for you. Oh, well. This is a car reservation, which will cancel without penalty if you no-show, not a non-refundable airplane ticket the non-use of which will cost you dearly.

Now, if you're nice, you'll cancel whichever reservation doesn't suit your fancy (or your wallet) in sufficient advance time to not cause the rental car company to keep a car in a slot earmarked for you. But if you don't, you'll have lost nothing other than the few minutes it took you to enlist the assistance of AutoSlash at the outset.

There's potentially a lot to lose. At a minimum the rental car agencies have wised up and canceled their relationship with AutoSlash. Worst case, the rental car agencies decide to start implementing cancelation fees and other pricing changes to combat automated pricing/reservation practices such as those provided by AutoSlash. AutoSlash helps customers in the short-terms, ruins things for all consumers in the long-term.
