The "FlightCaster" App
 

Here's a new app for your Blackberry or iPhone that looks like it has the potential for significant usefulness: FlightCaster. Fundamentally, it predicts flight delays. Only about a dozen reviews on iTunes so far, but looks promising.

I particularly like the feature which gives the status of the inbound aircraft.

And for the truly geeky, here's some background on how the app makes it predictions.

Has anyone tried it yet?

Nice apps, just played with it for my flight today. For sure has a lot of potential. Unfortunately no international flights yet.

Just saw they raised a $1.3m first round. Looks like a valuable tool if data is reliable.
