I have one like this.
http://www.cheapchips.com.au/memory/...rd-reader.html Basically it is like an itty bitty sleeve that has some metal strips on the end. The strips go into the USB port so you can read the card. Not sure why one needs 6 mins, but here is a movie that shows how to use it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ngiqfpXfEBs I don't get why they are referred to as 'card readers' rather than USB adapters. |

Yeah that link has one of the weird adapter-readers I have... that is a good link, will read up and report back... The theory is that many people have some way of reading/writing an sd card on their computer, but no way of reading/writing a micro-sd card. That would be true for me. So to work around that, many micro-sd cards just come with those adapters now. If you don't need it, don't worry about it. They work fine, just like any other memory card adapter. The adapter just converts from one form factor to another one. -David |
