Is there a 2-prong to 1 prong adaptor?
 

I have a really good headset but unfortunately it has the old airline 2-prong mono connection. Now everything on Air Canada is a 1-prong stereo connection. Is there a 2-to-1 adaptor out there that would solve this for me?

Buy yourself a 3.5 mm plug, a cheap soldering iron and solder, and have some fun doing it yourself. Not confident a female 2 into male 1 plug exists however happy to be proven wrong :)

Yep I have seen one. I believe radio shack has them in the US or Maplin in the uk.

I don't see them listed on RadioShack.com, but I know DL used to hand out headsets that were 2-prong w/ a 2-to-1 prong adapter. It seems now they've gone the opposite way (1-prong w/ 1-to-2 adapter) but maybe some nice FTer with a pair lying around will send you their adapter? I would if I still had one... and if I come across one, I'll PM you.

Thanks IOM. I have a few of these 1 to 2 prong adapters too but of course no use to me. I did try Radio Shack (Circuit City) yesterday but according to them they have nothing like that.
Willyroo's suggestion sounds good but I wouldn't know where to start.

That will sorta work, but you'll have the same channel in both ears.

What you need is this adapter. It splits the left channel to one socket and the right channel to the other. You plug the airline plug into the sockets so each prong gets one channel.
