SRF mobile -- setting up voicemail
 

I have a SFR SIM card in my Motorola mobile/cell and need to set up voicemail.

I have looked and the SFR web site but speak no French, so no help.


I do have internet access so if someone could direct me it would be great!

You are probably aware of this, but Dial 555 to go to your voicemail box. The instructions are in French and I do not think there is an option to change it to English. So, you will likely need to get someone that speaks french to get it done for you.

Tried 555 Send, several times. I get a message which says
Operation failed.

I have tried both 123 Send
as well as 123*21 Send and still no luck getting into
VM set-up.

I am in France and the phone seems to work fine
both calling and receiving calls.

Wow! Seems like you really need to setup the VM. I am assuming you will be there for a while. VM there is not as common as it is here. Anyway, Did you see the response to your question here?

Did you try contacting the shop where you bought it, an SFR shop, or any other of the ubiquitous phone stores? Easter's over, so today they should be open again.

Was there no documentation with your SIM? There should have been instructions or a customer service number in there.

I'm not sure where "here" is, but voice mail is very common in France.
