itunes App Store outside the US
Something to whine about. The latest terms and conditions for the apple itunes store stress that it cannot be used outside the US. I've gotten up to ordering Battlestar Galactica, and the Bloomberg Ap, only to see the "You agree not to make purchases outside the US. We agree to find out if you do" section of the terms and conditions. Of course my session should look like a US IP address, but I back down when I get to the T&C checkbox.
Certainly limits the ipod touch for a traveller. Carry everything you think you might need, you won't be able to buy anything along the road. Funny for a device that seems appealing for it's compactness. |
Wirelessly posted (iPhone 3G: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 2_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/525.18.1 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/3.1.1 Mobile/5H11 Safari/525.20)
I noticed exactly the same line last night. Previously Apple had a "don't ask" policy. I have US and UK Itunes accounts (although I don't currently live in either). My local store has limited content, I really hope they don't start IP blocking :( |
