How do you delete yourself from Facebook?

I have multiple entries in Facebook and want to delete the empty ones. How do I do that?

Do you mean multiple accounts?

Go to the bottom of each profile page and click on Account. When you get there you will see the prompt to DEACTIVATE ACCOUNT. Then click on DEACTIVATE ACCOUNT. Repeat for each account you want to delete.

That just deactivates the account. To actually delete it, log in and go to http://www.facebook.com/help/contact...delete_account

If you're talking about entries like comments and such, you can delete individual ones using the options menu on the right side of each entry.

If you're talking about the account, it's worth mentioning that "deactivate account" isn't permanent, it just removes everything from view until you reactivate. "Delete" is permanent.

In between the terms of facebook, it states that anything posted on facebook remains the property of facebook. Trouble is that if you have an unusual name, they will suspend and hold your details indefinitely. And it is difficult to get hold of a physical person at facebook.

Settle down everyone. This thread, while not strictly Travel Tech, is completely in line with similar threads that have been posted in this forum pretty much since it was created.

As a friendly reminder, if you have problems with the contents of a post, use the Report Bad Post button (red triangle) under the handler of the poster. All other approaches are inappropriate here.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled FaceBook troubleshooting, something I know absolutely nothing about as I am avoiding the service like the plague.

I wasn't aware of this. Do you mean that if you have an unusual name and try to delete yourself they hold on to your profile?
