Flip Video vs. Still Camera

Somebody suggested I take a look at the Flip Video mini camcorder to take some YouTube type videos for an upcoming gathering.

My old Casio Exilim still camera does video at 640x480 which is the same resolution at the Flip. Is there an advantage to using the Flip that I am missing?

Some similar camcorders -- such as the RCA -- have a movable LCD so it might be easier to put oneself in the picture (using a small tripod) but that seems to be about the only advantage I can find.

I am not looking for anything high quality -- basically just "hi, wish you were here" type stuff for those who couldn't make the gathering.

Thanks in advance.

The advantages IMHO:

Runs off AA's
Startup and shutdown is very fast
Easy transfers

Disadvantages:

Poor low light performance
Fairly poor audio capture

Other advantages are that the Flip has a very cheap waterproof case, which can be nice if you want to take it diving.
