What's a good mini-USB headphone?
For the Mrs. Her new phone (T-Mobile Krzr k1) has decent mp3 capacity, and the mini-USB where you recharge is also where you connect headphones. I've seen mini-USB to 3.5mm converters for $10-$15, but she thinks she'd rather not have to keep track of an adapter.
Any thoughts on decent audio quality in a mini-USB headphones or earbud set? Thanks. |
How About Just a Regular USB Headset for Skype?
Somewhat similar to the OP's request for a mini-USB headphone for their cell phone, how about a small headset with a USB connector (not a mini-RCA plug) that will work with Skype on most third-world internet cafe's? I've seen cheap bulky USB headsets and expensive (over $30 USD) small headsets), but nothing that's both small and cheap.

I'll be reviewing them on my blog this weekend, but so far I'm extremely impressed. You can find them on Ebay for as little as $20. Just make sure to get the USB version. |

Got anything for the OP? These won't work with mini-USB, and the 480-USB has a rather large USB adapter.

Do be sure to get them from a reliable seller, as most Motorola accessories are fake nowadays :( |

I've heard good things about these:

Do be sure to get them from a reliable seller, as most Motorola accessories are fake nowadays :( Interestingly, the T-Mobile site has a stereo set that looks exactly like those in your link except T-Mobile wants $34.99 insteat of Amazon's $3.89. Makes me wonder about your comment about fake Motorola accessories. Not sure what kind of fidelity to expect from $3.89 headphones. The phone appears to be restricted to 128-bit or lower sampling on the mp3's, but I still might try for a bit higher quality headset. Maybe I can get her a little phone carrier for her purse that has a place to keep a 3.5mm adapter so she won't lose it. That would open up a world of possibilities. Anyway, thanks. |

Scott, thanks. FYI, what came in the box looks just like this, except it has 1 earbud. Not the most desirable for listening to mp3's in stereo.

The actually sound pretty decent, but like you noticed; the really cheap ones are a little suspiciously cheap... |
