Social bookmarking (delicious.com)

Has anyone ever heard of this website, or of "stumbler.com"? These are supposed to be "social bookmarking" websites that will expand one's Microsoft Vista Ultimate experience. Any feedback would be appreciated.

StumbleUpon.com (bought by MS), is a site that helps you find interesting websites based on what you are looking at. Kind of a social network...recommends new sites as you "stumble" upon them. Has a rating function and a bunch of community characteristics to help you find things that might be interesting for you.

del.icio.us basically store your "favorites" for you on the web. So you can use any computer, log in, and have access. Very handy. It also has a discovery function like StumbleUpon.

I don't use either of them too much, but I do like some of the music and book communities to find artists/authors that I might like based on my purchases or profile. Amazon does a good job with this.

Del.icio.ous is a very handy site if you are using multiple computers and want to sync your bookmarks/favorites between computers.

You can leave your bookmarks private and access them from any computer.

If you use Firefox, there is a nice delicious add-on that syncs your bookmarks with delicious.

I second the recommendation of http://del.icio.us as I've been using it since 2004. It's a great place to find sites related to and similar to your favorites on topics that interest you. I also wanted to provide the correct URL to help OP find it. ;)

I use Google Browser Sync to sync bookmarks across my half-dozen installations of Firefox.

I use del.icio.us as well and have tried its counter-part, mahalo.com. I prefer del.icio.us for its simplicity and speed.

learn something new every day

Also use, and am happy with, delic.io.us - never knew you could also get to it as delicious.com

Love, love, love del.icio.us. My bookmarks are more organized than they've ever been, and I can find them no matter where I am. I don't really use the bookmarking function on browsers anymore, with the exception of the Links toolbar.

Surprised no one has mentioned www.digg.com ...
