Wireless Internet in Croatia

Hi,
I am going to spend 2 weeks on an island of Korcula in Croatia and need recommendations for wireless access for my laptop. We dont have a landline. I know that the Island has a couple of internet cafes, but access for the laptop would be quiet useful.

Would it be possible to link up to a 3G phone or something on Pay as you go card there and get access?

Or maybe there is a wifi network in Croatia and can just pay for access via credit card. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I think that you'll find 3G coverage to be nonexistent.

The Apartments Royal (+385 98 1840444) has WiFi--or at least they did when I was there last summer.

BTW, definitely head to Lombarda for at least a day of lounging . . .

Another experience point - I drove all over that country and into Bosnia not long ago.

With my 3G AT&T GSM aircard I was able to get Edge service in the bigger cities and GRPS elsewhere at best. No 3G service.

Internet cafes were in the cities and some of the islands, free public wi-fi in some of the marinas, too. Speed was reasonable enough to make skype calls without a problem.

Did you have an European 3G card?

Anyway, internetional data roaming would be really pricey.

It's the beach, dude! Leave the laptop at home. :)
