changing default template in Word 2007?

I've been using a new computer at work which has Word 2007 and I can't figure out how to set the default template to the settings I like (font, margins, etc.). Seems pretty simple, but I can't find the answer. Any ideas? Thanks!

I've made some changes in the Paragraph settings but they don't stick. Hopefully someone here will know the magic formula.

Start Word 2007

Click the round button in the upper left with the Office logo

Click Open

Click Trusted Templates

Double click on Normal.dotm

Make changes to font / margins / tabs etc.

Save

Beautiful! Thank you! That wasn't hard at all once you figure out where to look. Never saw that Trusted Templates bit before.
