How do I get windows vista to forget MP #
I use public computers when traveling. After I logout of United.com, my Mp # is stored on the computer. Maybe days later when I go to login again, as soon as I type the first # 0 of my Mp number the rest of the number is automatically entered. Often several MP numbers will appear for me to choose from. I still have to enter my password, but I don't like for my number to remain on a shared computer. I'm sure the solution is simple but could someone point me to it?

Vista isn't storing anything. It's the browser that stores it.
Assuming you are using IE click on the "tools" menu (to the right of the address bar), then select "delete browsing history", then "delete form data". |
IE and Firefox both come with form filling feature for your convenience. To clear IE data, go to Control Panel, Internet Options, Browsing history, Delete and then click on Delete all. In Firefox, press Control-Shift-Delete, check all boxes and then click OK.
In the future, I recommend Firefox Portable off a USB flash drive. It won't leave any cache file on the public computer. |
Thanks for quick response. I knew it had to be something I was overlooking.
