Not being able to sync IPOD Touch

It seems I cannot sync my Touch. A few days, I was able to it...no problem. Now it won't let me sync at all.

I have checked the appropriate boxes and it still does not.

What do I do?

I'm not sure if anybody will be able to help you given the lack of detail describing your problem. Mac or PC? Connected and recognized by the computer or not? Does itunes see the device or not? Did you turn off the automatic sync feature in itunes because you don't want it to automatically put everything in itunes on the ipod? Did you try dragging stuff over to it in itunes?

Sorry..here is the detail:

1) PC
2) Itunes recognizes it as soon as I plug it in
3) turned off auto sync feature
4) the the movies are in itunes already. I added a new movie and then wanted uit to sync everrything, but it will not

If you turn off the auto-sync feature, I think you have to drag whatever you want synced up over to the ipod on the left hand side of the app.

I have two ipods and my daughter has two, so we just use a single itunes and leave the auto sync thing off, and manually drag stuff over or create a play list and drag the playlist over to the ipod.

Unrelated question: How do you like your iTouch? Do you use it as a PDA replacement? How is the WiFi internet speed?

I briefly played with one at the Apple store yesterday. My impressions:

(1) I felt the keyboard for alphabet text entry was a bit cumbersome, though nowhere near as bad as typing on my razor phone.
(2) The sound quality (with apple headphones) was much better than I expected, but then again I was raised in the era where walkman cassette players were cutting edge. :D
(3) Magnifying the web was not as easy as it looks on the commercials.
(4) Lack of separate external volume control was really annoying. Also would be nice to have a "back" button.

Despite these shortcomings, I still thought it was amazing  light years ahead of the competition.

it is nice..still learning how to get around.

I get to use it on a plane this weekend, so I will really test it out. My local computer nerd ios coming over to help with this thing.

But I really like it overall. Technology is great, the toucvh is awesome, but takes getting used to.

I also got confused on the volume control.

Is that new? I guess you could try reinstalling itunes. Other than that, it would be difficult to diagnose the problems here.

It may not be related but following a series of errors syncing my own ipod touch i did some googling and came up with a solution that worked. Seems that for some reason the ipod touch has intermittent problems when a usb hub is used.

Once i hooked directly into the computer and bypassed the hub it's now syncing without problem every time.

If you are willing to hack it for email, calender, maps, etc then its one of the most competent and usable devices I've ever seen.
