Anyone using the Nokia communicator E90?
 

It sure looks like this years must have business gadget with Blackberry, Garmin GPS, ( Mobile XT is like the nüvi or C550 on steroids) videoconferencing, broadband, 3G,HSPDA, etc. I also saw someone watching TV on it. Maybe I wouldn't need to lug a laptop anymore?

Some say it's the best thing since sliced bread, but they say that about the iphone too?

For me, I have an E61, and would prefer it to the E90 for form and size.

Thanks for the links, I must say I'm very tempted to spring for one even though I use an E61. I remember showing my brother (a Madison Avenue man) the 2nd or third generation communicator (which wasn't available then in 1998 in the US and asking him if SMS (which wasn't used in the US) if SMS would ever take off like it had in the UK & Africa) and he said no, people prefer to talk. Ah. Technology.:D

If you have the E61 and not the E61i, save the money and get the i. That is actually a substantial improvement on the E61.

After using one for a while I consider the E90 a failure. It doesn't add terribly much functionality and the Series 3 interface is actually better suited to the E61. It's ungainly and awkward on the E90. The front display is odd in that it's functional but not quite enough, yet opening the device to do things you normally do on the E61 straight away is a pain.

The in-built GPS is cool and works well... other than that I don't find the keyboard any easier to use and think the E61 is a better form-factor. If Nokia had kept with their practice of using a specific OS for their Communicators that was suited to them, it'd be a much better device. As it is, it's simply a repackaged E61i to my mind.

Also, as for watching TV, the Slingplayer for Symbian works just fine on the E61i. :D
