Macedonia sim card/cellular service
 

Can anyone please give advice re purchasing in Macedonia cellular service/sim card for my unlocked gsm phone? I leave tomorrow evening for a nine day trip.

You should be able to get one at any sum store. If you don't know what that is it is a large dept. store with several phone shops. Sometimes when I am going to
a country I haven't been before I get my interpreter to buy a sim card for me, and then repay him/her for the card. Any tabac shop or newsstand should have refills for your card. hope this helps.

To reply to my own post after returning from Macedonia...T Mobile dominates the market in Macedonia. Sim cards were free. Local calls were around 35 cents. Calls to the USA were just under a dollar a minute. Reception was excellent.
