I just got my first mac books! and what should i do it works and i have connected to my internet but any tips or things i should know about mac?

my window is small and i cant get it any bigger ?
and i cant cam on msn ?

tips please :)

To begin with :)

For all standard Mac windows:

1. Drag the bottom right corner to the desired size.

2. If the bottom right corner is off the screen, move the window by the top edge (where you see the window title) to bring it back.

3. If the window is too close to the top of the screen for this to be possible, unlikely if your window is "small" but possible in other situations, click the green circle (the one with the plus sign that becomes visible when you mouse over it, third from the left, if your color vision is impaired) at the top left of the window. That will resize it to the screen and make the bottom right corner visible.

4. If you use multiple monitors, move a window entirely to the external one, and disconnect that monitor without moving the window back, it's possible for a window to disappear entirely. Fear not, nothing has gone away; you just can't see it. Post again if you ever run into that problem.

How do i copy and paste ?

In just about every application, including the Finder (the OS):

1. Select whatever you want to copy, usually by dragging over it. Double-clicking in apps that conform to the standard selects whole words. Double-clicking and then dragging extends the selection by whole words. Selecting in graphics programs varies, but may involve clicking on graphic objects and/or selecting a tool and then dragging over the area to be selected. Once you get into heavy use of Photoshop and other complex programs, selecting is a whole chapter in the manual.

2. Choose Copy from the Edit menu. Keyboard shortcut is command (or Apple, the key on either side of the space bar)-C. Some apps, such as Microsoft Office, may also have a toolbar with an icon for this.

3. Click where you want to paste it.

4. Choose Paste from the Edit menu, or command-V. Ditto for toolbars.

(In other words, pretty much like Windows.)

Micro$not has never maintained Mac Messenger for as long as I can remember. I guess programming for the Mac requires too much effort!

Yahoo Messenger, AIM (via iChat) and Skype all do video for the Mac.

i think there's an app called aMSN that you can download that is similar to MSN but allows cam.

i use adium on my mac (similar to trillian for pc's).

MSN for Mac has been updated recently ... but no webcam support (if it happens, I'll be amazed....)

aMSN I found was very heavy on memory (this was when i had the iBook before it blew - I now have a basic MacBook)

For your MacBook... biggest purchase probably will be Leopard when Apple releases it in a few months time hopefully (an evolution of the current version of OSX)

Depedning what you're using your mac for, a memory purchase is never a bad thing to do.....

How do i save pics from websites to i photo????

right-click (or control-click) on the image and select 'add image to iphoto library'
