Ipod Voice Recorders
Hello all. I'm interested in getting one of these ever since I've moved, since now I went back to school and can't take notes as quickly as some speakers... speak.
Does anyone have any experience with these, as well as information about which to get? Thanks! |
I looked at the various iPod plug-in recorders available, but I'd actually recommend just getting a stand-alone voice recorder. They're not really more expensive than an iPod plug-in, the quality is better and they won't kill your battery.
Olympus recorders are easy to use, durable and reasonably priced. I own two, and would recommend them without hesitation. |

I have a Griffin Technologies one. From discussions (I can't remember where), it may be difficult to pick up sound from some distance away. I've used it to record my voice from close by. The downside is that at some iTunes update, it became impossible to listen from the iPod. You have to sync the iPod and then move it from your computer back to the iPod. This may have been fixed in later updates. I haven't used mine lately. I carry it with me when I travel in case I want to pick up ambient sound for a later slide presentation, but I haven't used it.
