Nokia N80 has a screen resolution of 352 x 416, while N95 "only" has 240 x 320. That's why I asked. ;)

Some help please

I downloaded the maps from smart2 go.....just TEXAS as it was 104MB file...on a 2GB card

so, I can see where I am at, but when I get to another place, it always looks for a WLAN connection to get the map info...why does it need that when the memory card has the map on it?

What am I doing wrong? Do I need to adjust the settings?

If you havent got the map stored on the card for the place you are in/planning to it will need a connection to download it. No way around it.

Maybe I am missing something....I have got the maps stored on my Memory card...

GPS works fine....

Do I need the buy the license for the "MAPS" software?

1. Make sure you have used the Maps program on your mobile once and have connected to GPS

2. Remember to change in Maps options to read your Memory Card

3. Make sure that in the settings for your Maps program you have set the 'Use network' option to 'Never'

I think in your case u need 2 switch 'use network' to 'never' otherwise phone will look for maps on-line instead using those ones u have stored on your memory card.

How much are you guys paying for the N95 phone? US$660 is the "local" check price here - SIM free.

Thanks

Aidan

My operator (UK Orange) gave me the N95 as an upgrade for £10 ($20 - SIM locked, VOIP Features removed)

SIMFree (quoting Expansys as an example), just under £500.

Of course Expansys has a habbit of being expensive....

I was going to start a new thread on this phone as I have a big issue with it.

I have installed Road Sync so that I can get push email from our exchange server. It works well apart from prompting me to accept the certificate every time I use it. I can't find any way to install the MS certificate .cer and have googled like hell.

Has anybody got any ideas?

Thanks

I have a nokia E60, which has symbian software..not sure if it'll fix your problem but try going to:

Menu>Tools>App Mgr

Select Options>Settings and change "Online Certif. Check" to off, and "Software Installation" to all

Otherwise you could try Mail for exchange by Nokia as it's free.

American Version of the N95 launched...

According to SymbianGuru anyway.

Key highlights:

850/1900MHz 3G / HSDPA (no 2100...)
1200mAh battery
1Gb microSD card in the box

Sweet...

Its good to see Nokia are addressing the battery issues (Considering the World editions are 950mAh rated)... the memory card is a nice bonus too.

I've got to patch my phone sometime.. when I get a chance to back the unit up....
