Exporting Firefox Bookmarks?

Ok, here's my predicament. Laptop has died a sudden and horrible death while working remotely (in Fiji :()! I've been directed by my employer to purchase a laptop (yeah!!!!!) locally and have done so (why are new laptops always so nice)?

Now, my old laptop will switch on but behaves like a sort of professional European soccer player (i.e. is prone to dying if you touch it).

So, assuming I can get my old laptop to work for long enough, how do I export my bookmarks (of which there are many) to my new laptop?

Open FF>Bookmarks>Organize Bookmarks>File>Export

Or you can copy the following folder to the new laptop ...
WinXP: ~\Documents & Settings\<your login>\Application Data\Mozilla
Win2k: ~\Profiles\<your login>\Application Data\Mozilla

This will copy all firefox settings, bookmarks, addins etc to the new laptop.

Enjoy your new laptop!

there is a tool called mozbackup which will also let you back up your passwords and alike from your firefox and thunderbird. ;)

try put the flaky drive in another computer as a slave, and pull the information off, if all else fails.
