didn't say that remark to speak to how many manufacturers apple uses..but more so to the poster about looking for his next laptop.... in consideration that asus builds some of apple's latest notebooks, I was referring to quality of the notebook since the poster said "considering"

I worked in operations at Apple for seven years. Those are two of the main ones, but there are more.

The original poster made it sound like a PC laptop couldn't sort pictures or do HTML. My Toshiba does that fine. I think people, from both sides of the aisle, believe they're type of PC is best, and both sides buy propaganda that their "provider" puts out. Some of the MAC/PC ads are cute, but some are downright wrong. Same with some of the propaganda put out by Microsoft.

Macs are known for being better at graphics, but that doesn't mean a PC is like an etch a sketch when it comes to graphics.

FYI - I'm a trained network engineer (MCSE aöthough not certified). I have more years of PC use and PC support work in me then I have as a Mac user. I do think I am able to say which machine works best for me and it certainly isn't the etch-a-sketch... I mean PC.

;-)

My last PC laptop was an Asus. I really did like it. I like my mac better, though.
