Does any here use Roboform?
If you don't, you need to check it out. It will make web surfing, having to remember passwords, fill in forms, etc. a life saver.
The good thing is that they have it for portable so you can put it on a USB key and take it with you. Stick it i^ ^ nto a USB port, it will attach to the browser and all of your profiles are set. Remove the key and all personal information is gone. ^ ^ |
Now that I've bought this (been using it for ~90 days) I can't imagine being without it.
I never realized before this how many logons I have: over 90! |
I used it for a month or two till I realized it was screwing with my ability to cut and paste.
Once I removed it from my PC all was good again. |
Cut and Paste?
I've never heard of that issue. I know a lot of people who use it and have never had that symptom.
I was going to say, "I don't think I have 90" until I stopped and counted mine. Amazing 120 and four sub folders. That's the only way to surf. That in conjunction with my Firefox add-ons, FEBE is the one that I really nice right now. Can't live without ........ |
I bought it about 6 months ago, and for the most part, like it. It does seem to have some problems with the new United front page though, where it won't always enter the info.
|
I've been using it for a couple years now and love it. One of my hobbies is entering sweepstakes. It enables me to enter hundreds of sweeps every day. There's no way I could do that without it.

For anyone who has encountered issues or idiosyncrasies using Roboform, try disabling the Roboform toolbar, which is typically turned on by default. I initially ran into some problems in both Firefox and Internet Exploder, including specific web sites that no longer worked correctly but I have encountered no problems whatsoever after disabling the toolbar. All Roboform functionality is still available by right clicking on the page.
|
No problems here other than it occasionally autofilling my email address into things that aren't asking for an email address.
|
I still use the free version, but like it. I had to turn off the master password login.
|
I've used it for years to do my competitions and it's great. I only have the free version so I turn on the password filler in Firefox whenever I get a new version.
|
Doesn't internet explorer have a built in password remember-er? And doesn't the google toolbar have a robo-filler?
|
Firefox does. Roboform turns this off. AS I only have the free version, I make sure that I turn on the password saver aftr every Roboform update. That way, Roboform can fill in any passwords initially then firefox will remember them for future visits.

I've been using Roboform for years :
- Buy the paid version.. you'd be amazed how many passcards you'll end up with (I have over 400) - Have it prompt you before autofilling to save any unexpected autofills - Use a master password for security purposes, but change the settings so it only asks for it every (say) 12 hours, ie only once per day. |
