Any experience with Talqer?
I recently came across a VOIP service called Talqer. It provides GTalk and Skype users the ability to dial out to POTS users outside their respective IM networks for a lower price than, say, SkypeOut. (Plus, it doesn't have the connection charges that Skype's recently added.)
I ended up getting an account ($10 gets you started) and have liked what I've heard. Has anyone else tried this service? I'm interested in hearing any assessments of it. |
I too came across this service the other day but it seems to have gone out of business.
Anyone use toktumi.com? Most of these services, annoyingly, are not available to subscribers outside the US. I'm still looking for a good Skype(in) alternative. |
Talqer was a miserable flop, indeed.
Unfortunately, SkypeOut/SkypeIn have not proven to be any better in my experience, as audio quality, latency, and connection consistency were on par w/ Eastern European telecoms of the 1950's. |

I'm desperately trying to find a reliable and long-term phone 'solution'. As I don't live in one place I don't have a regular phone number/landline/subscription. I've just been looking at justvoip.com but it seems a bit rogueish. Any other suggestions/alternatives for Skype? |
