Don't if it's still there or usable, but the security company at KOA (Securitas) had an open network named "security"

My network is called "notyours." I disabled the transmission of the ssid. A neighbor has one called "Eaglesblow." In reference to his hatred of the local NFL team.

I found one called "default".

It was funny, because I hijacked it.

At work we use "RestrictedAccess", which is completely open (but won't connect to anything except the VPN server).

I've also seen networks named "lynksis" and "kthxbye".

Our MIMO A/B/G/pre-N network at the beach is open and labeled: HelpYourself.

One morning I heard the wifi printer go off and saw a paper that said: Thanks!

24 hours??? Try 15 minutes with enough traffic.

Here's a good video that shows how it's done.
