HP Laserjet 1012 feed problems
I have a 4 year old (?) Laserjet 1012. I've really liked it. It's been trouble free.
Now, though, the left side has started having some kind of feed problem. The paper catches somehow on the left side and the left side of the pages come out crumpled and wrinkled pretty badly. Is that enough of a description to ascertain whether this is something that's easy to fix, or is it time to get a new printer? If the latter, is there an HP that uses the same toner cartridge (my current one is almost new and they're pricey) |
Buy a cleaning kit, and clean the printer, paying particular attention to the rollers.
I still have an LJ3 (a freaking 3!) still going strong. But you need to keep the innards clean. I don't have my brand immediately available, but many places sell kits to do this. |
Thanks.
Are the cleaning kits obtainable at, say, Office Max or WalMart? That about exhausts the computer supply stores where I am. Or should I look for something mail order? |
