Using Sprint Wireless With Desktop Computers?
I use a Sprint Nextel wireless card (Aircard 580) that plugs into a laptop while travelling. Is there an affordable way to permit use of the same wireless card at home with 2 desktop computers?
We have "high speed" internet over cable at home, but it often slows to a crawl or stops completely for a couple of minutes. By comparison, the Sprint card seems to be very reliable. |
you need a desktop pcmcia adaptor such as

Or you could consider this one and use the savings to pay for a month of Sprint data service:

I’ve heard that a USB connection device from Sprint may be coming down the pike.

I've been using my sprint phone for several years for data... using USB.
on my notebook and sometimes on desktop too. Works great! for the data card, you may want to consider a PCMCIA adaptor for your desktop (as suggested earlier) |

The Novatel Wireless sells for a suggested retail price of $249.99 or is available for as low as $49.99 with a two-year subscriber agreement and mail-in-rebate. |
