Printer Cartridge Exchange Credit

Both Staples and Office Depot stopped giving $3 credit for empty Canon printer cartridges. Now they will only accept HP and Lexmark.

Does anyone currently offer credit for Canon cartidges?

I remember finding a recycling program run by Emerald Recycling in California that provides $2 for every ink cartridge sent in postage paid envelopes they provided. I can't find a website, but I still do have a few of the envelopes that still net me $2 each time. I know it exists, since I've participated in it and managed to find other websites talking about this program: http://greenyes.grrn.org/2004/06/msg00033.html

What I did find was a way you can recycle the cartridge for a donation of $2 to Walk for Hope, though the same Emerald Recycling services, it seems. If you're interested:

What cartridges they take back at Staples depends on who is working at the counter! All along they said would only take HP and Lexmark. I have returned some 3rd party Brother cartridges that cost me only $3 each.
