Each desktop is one face of a cube. When dragging the desktops with your mouse you can see the desktops in the form of a cube. When you find the one you want, you release the mouse and that is the new desktop. It's pretty neat. On my old desktop only a few effects would work, but on my laptop there are many more effects to choose from.

Wow I really really love ubuntu Linux. I just made my first major error. My llaptop battery died while upgrading to new version. When i restrated, most things didn't work. A simple retry on the upgrade fixed everything. One button-press. Amazing.
