Since many of us are affected by this, and because it is a known hazzard with the potential for a lot of damage I'm going to "sticky" these 2 battery threads for the next 2 weeks.

New battery was delivered this morning, 6 days after I filled out the form on Dell's site.

I filled out the form on line 5 days ago - and my battery arrived today!! Very good service, and instructions how to place used battery in container and mail with a prepaid mailing label.

Great news!!

We found about 6 at work and they have all arrived as of today!
Way to go Dell!

We replaced 5 at work, and they all came within a few days. The site worked well for us.

I just received a bill for my replacement battery ($71.86). If they are tracking the returns, it looks like they've lost track of mine.
