Wireless Internet Card

I stay several times a month at various Hamptons & Hilton Garden Inns. Both have high speed wireless but I always have to get a card or bridge and access code upon check in. I have a US Robotics wireless card installed on my laptop but have no success using it because I think it is linked to my US R router. Does anyone know if there is a card that can be purchased so I don't have to get the hotel's and just get the access number? This would also help when we are running two laptops at once.
Thanks
Mscoachung

P.S. Got one Embassy Suite wedge but couldn't get the second because the stay had to be booked online rather than walk-in. Next time I'll read the terms better so I don't lose out but thanks Flyertalk for the one wedge I got!

Your card probably just needs to be configured correctly. Next time you're at the hotel try calling tech support when you have an hour or so to fiddle around with it.

Even better get a verizon or sprint card. It will work on a wireless network and then can be used on their cell phone network. I love my verizon card. Not sure how well sprint works, but I would assume the same.

This discussion is really better suited for the Travel Technology forum than for the Hilton forum.

You should receive a number of responses from many experts on the topic, mscoachung.

Wireless cards are about $40 on sale. Get a Linksys or Netgear or DLink or even Belkin card. When you borrow a card from the hotel, what brand is that?
