It's been my experience that Slingbox adds 7-8 seconds of delay, and TiVo itself adds 3-4 seconds of delay because it first writes the digital file as it records the program and you watch the digital file, not live TV. (You might have meant that you are 10-15 minutes behind using TiVo, though :) )

It's like if the sun went out, we wouldn't know for 8 minutes. If your cable goes out or the President gets shot, you wouldn't know it for 11 seconds watching TiVo over a Slingbox.
