Best Approach to Sync Phone/Computer
This topic has come up before so I'm going to ask a generic question and for specific advice.
Generic: What are people using to Sync their email and Mobile/PDA? Specific: I currently use Outlook, but desperately want to move to Thunderbird. What is keeping me back is that my Nokia software won't sync with Thunderbird. I have a Nokia 6230 (which supposedly supports SyncML) that connects to my PC via Bluetooth and automatically syncs with Outlook when within range. I want to do the same to Thunderbird with the least amount of contortions. I've taken a look at Sync4j project but am not quite sure if that is what I should use nor how to go about doing it. What recommendations/configuration would you recommend? |
Why not just move to Thunderbird for email only, and leave your contacts in Outlook.
Or consider moving your contacts to a different application, like ACT or Lotus... |

With blackberry enterprise server 4.0 on microsoft exchange, all of my contacts and calendary synchronize over GPRS between exchange/outlook and my blackberry 7100T. It's just about the only technology i've ever experienced that really lives up to its promise.
