Bose QC2 - QC1 trade in?
I've read some mentions in this forum of a Bose trade-in program, for a discount on the QuietComfort2 when trading in the QuietComfort1. I'm a bit ditzy, but I can't find such a program anywhere on the web or on Bose's website. Does it exist? (And -- perhaps for my own research -- is it a better deal than Ebaying your old QC1s?)

However, I found a friend who wanted the QC1's and was willing to pay half-price. I thought that was worth the upgrade cots... Steve |
Out of interest, how much do the QC1's fetch these day?

I stopped in a Bose store last year and inquired about this. The saleswoman said she was asked about trade-ins all the time and didn't know why Bose decided not to give a small discount to QC1 owners. Too bad for Bose, I decided not to part with some cash and still use my QC1s to this day! :)

Ebay.
Last time I sold QC1's they went for $140. |
qc1's better
sound quality on the qc1's, imho are better than on the qc2, I've got both, and do prefer the form factor of the 2's, but the 1's go with me still 98% of the time.

I was at the BOSE outlet store in Las Vegas this past weekend. I was told that I am able to trade-in my original QuietComfort 2 for a QuietComfort 15 for about $85. I am going to go to BOSE store this weekend and see if I get the trade. I will let you know.
