Me too. Waiting a bit before installing software upgrades is almost always a smart choice.

FWIW, I just reverted back to 1.0.7. ....... doesn't seem to work correctly in 1.5. I'll give it some more time.

Roboform is now working

Now, the spellchecker and everything will be back to normal

Which spell checker are you using? Spellbound? If so, I had to re-install it as I had done an uninstall-reinstall of firefox to upgrade (I had been using RC3 at the time). No problems with any of my extensions now and FF 1.5 is working great.

Now they need to release T-Bird as a non-beta, though the 1.5 beta is working fine for me (and I like the in-line spell checker :) )

I'm not sure about this one. I certainly don't get any pop up ads with 1.5. I do have all the popular ad sites blocked in my hosts file though.

I thought Roboforms was too invasive for my tastes and Firefox remembers most all my passwords anyway. The only extension I use is the weather forecast tool and that works fine with 1.5 so I'm happy.

Blank Space at Screen Bottom in 1.5

Anyone else have an annoying blank space at the bottom of the window (about an inch-and-a-half of unused real estate)? Know how to get rid of it?

A friend had that. No idea why.

Same here (just under the status bar). Unfortunately, I have no clue as to how to eliminate it.

Also, I notice that some links will not open (whether to a new tab or to a new window). Is anyone else getting that symptom?

Still haven't upgraded. Looks like version 1.5 is still a little buggy...

Since not everyone is getting the problem, it could be one of your extensions. Try turning them off one by one and see if that fixes the problem.

Try resizing the window, exiting the program and restarting it. Also, it that doesn't work, perhaps uninstall and reinstall the program.

I've been having problems with 1.5 and Adobe PDF files. Some files will lock up my 'puter. Others come out as "this file has been damaged and cannot be repaired." :(

Apparently, no fix has been issued. Then I reminded myself that 1.5 is beta.

SRQ Guy Dec 5, 2005 9:41 am

1.5 is not beta any more. It's the full release. It's disappointing that Mozilla has released such a buggy version from beta.

Looks like there may still be some incompatibilities with some programs and extensions (though as has been pointed out, 1.5 is not a beta). I'd suggest upgrading to the latest versions of these as well. For example, what version of Acrobat reader are you using? I've heard Version 6 was somewhat buggy, and while 7.0 seems a lot more stable I've also had one or two problems with it, outside of Firefox.

I have Acrobat 6.0.4 and it works perfectly with Firefox 1.5
