Gmail is fine with rare server problems. And I am up to 100 addresses too and over 2541.220716 megabytes storage (and counting). Far less spam than Yahoo, Hotmail etc. I wish gmail would get a calander thingee.

I love the idea of using labels instead of archiving and organising emails. Windows should work like that. In fact, I'm sure that Google will offer a viable alternative to Windows in the next few years - just look at Google Desktop with the Sidebar and now Gmail with the Talk addition...it's becoming pretty complete...Next step - do your basic computing online without the need of locally installed software (e.g. Word, Excel, etc). Exciting!

I'm also a big GMail fan and use a similar situation - personal email address forwarded to GMail. However, when I set the "Reply To" address, it doesn't take my personal email address but just sends the GMail address as the "Reply To" address.

My personal email address is a .name address. Anyone else had problems with the "Reply To" on GMail? If yes, did you work out how to resolve it?

I think that's the intent!

Only the very basic Outlook user could switch. You'd still miss Activesync, Exchange connectivity and many other things that (sadly) make Outlook so important.

Yes, some things still have to be done locally, but what you see being developed now are hybrid systems that dynamically determine which processes can be completed online; Gmail with all its additions would fit very nicely into that. It is sufficient for most users. I think Google is onto something here.

Thanks Jaded Traveler. I think that will do the trick. That also taught me the importance of leaving GMail in the default language (US English). I had it set to UK English and the Settings tabs are different so I couldn't change the From: information there! First time that I had noticed any difference in the functionality between US English and UK English...
